On Saturday morning, May 17, 2003, we got up extreeeemly early.... and met up
with Jeff and Jim. We headed west from Orlando, to Croom, a dirt bike area in
the Withlacoochee State Forest.... here is the evidence!
Here's the setting. We're right near I-75, about 50
miles west of Orlando, in the Withlacoochee State Forest. A very
serene setting. |
Here's Jeff with his toys, and Jim. |
Here's the 420 machine... Rick's baby! |
The boys are out riding, and I've stayed behind to take a
few pictures. |
That's Rick in the distance, on the 420 machine, heading out
into the great unknown, a big smile on his face. |
A view of some of the areas we rode in... Nice trails,
really... lots of obstacles, a fun ride! |
Rick taking a breather... |
Jeff, Jim, and Rick.... all paying proper homage and respect
to good ole 420! |
Another view of Rick and his baby.... |
Jeff's LTZ250.... a fun machine... soon to have a twin
brother.... |
420 again.... Rick never gets tired of looking at his
bike.... |
Rick and his bike. Notice the mud. Rick stopped
to help out a fellow biker who was stuck in the mud. As they say, one
good turn deserves another.... good thing Rick was so generous.... |
Here we are, stuck in the mud. That's me way in the
background.... I chose to walk around.... Hey, it looked solid...but I was
stuck up to my knee.... |
Luck a passerby had a rope...Jeff pulled out Rick's bike
with the quad. I am in the background, weighing about 20 pounds extra
with all the mud on my feet and ankles... |
The mud. Looks innocent enough. Verrrrry
deceiving! |
Another view.... you can see that the mud sticks to
everything |
Good ole 420, with about 50 extra pounds.... That mud is
heavy and slippery.... a lot like quicksand, I imagine.... |
